Towing Tuition (B + E Test)

Since January 1997 to tow a trailer over 750kg you need to take a B + E test.

This can be subject to some weight differential between the trailer and towing vehicle, but in most cases a test is necessary.

We use horse boxes and full size trailers to properly prepare you for all the conditions you will encounter when towing on the road.

The B + E Test consists of:

  • An eye sight check
  • Safety check questions about the towing vehicle and trailer
  • A reversing manoeuvre
  • An on road drive which can last up to an hour
  • An uncoupling and recoupling exercise.

The towing lessons will be tailored to the individuals needs from 2 hour lessons to intensive courses.

I nearly let the nerves get the better of me before my test, but a little chat and some positive advice helped me get through first time. Thanks.

I was very nervous when I started driving. Ken was very calm and positive and never rushed me, which made preparing for my test very easy.

  • Nervous 40 year old passes driving test first time

I tried driving in my early 20's, and, after a nasty experience, thought I was never going to be able to drive. Thanks for being so patient with me Ken.
